Commencing in 2003, the concept for the company was born out of restoration work on St. Thomas' Cathedral in Port Macquarie, where AHR was approached for expert advice on methods to restore the Cathedral. Since then, AHR has successfully introduced innovative methodologies and techniques to restore many Australian Heritage Buildings to their former glory. In providing consulting and project management services, AHR brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to any restoration project to which they are appointed.

The company has grown over the years to become a fully licensed heritage building company, having worked on projects such as the Sydney Opera House Main Entrance Hall, Bond Building, Quadrant on Broadway, Customs House, and Victoria Barracks.
